The In 2 Vietnam program will give you the possibility to know the most inner territory of Vietnam. This is an amazing program, which you can partly compose by yourself!
And the best of all is that you will not be alone! You will meet lots of other people from all around the world and live and work with them on a daily basis.
Our standard program is for 4 weeks, with the possibility to extend your stay for periods of 4 weeks.
The program consists of an exciting 4-week period of experiencing the Vietnamese culture, lifestyle, language, people, food, attitude and habits. This is an interesting period from which you will benefit, if you choose to work as a volunteer in one of our projects for an additional 4 weeks (or more).
The Orientation is the first step for a successful stay in Vietnam! Therefore the first week is dedicated to getting to know Vietnam and meeting the other participants. During this time you will learn about the Vietnamese culture and society, do & don’t s in Vietnamese society, team building activities, Vietnamese language and cooking lessons and visit local tourist places, such as the Xuan Son National Park and the Hung King Temple.
You will also have time to meet the local people, taste the food and learn about the Vietnamese customs. Of course, this is also the time in which you will be informed in detailed about the program and the projects.
During this week, you will have the chance to learn more about the cultural diversity in Vietnam (its several ethnic groups) and visit an old traditional house. You will also have the opportunity to visit Sa Pa, a Muong village on the border with Yunnan/China, and home stay with hill tribes. This will be an unique experience, that you will remember for the rest of your life!
You will be placed in a local school, where you will have the possibility to give a positive input into the life of the Vietnamese children. Volunteers are invited to teach English in an active way.
Volunteers should have a good level of conversational English and some knowledge and prior experience in teaching are highly appreciated. But the most important thing is to always have very good humor and to love children, as you will be surrounded with loads of them everyday.

You will explore the most of the remote Vietnam!
Visit the Xuan Son National Park and experience a homestay in a remote village and camping in the forest. You will also do an Environmental Trek through the jungle, with the chance to swim in a waterfall. Other interesting opportunities include visiting some animal raising project and other projects, which help the villagers being less dependent on the vulnerable nature.
The Itinerary will be adapted to the season
Vietnam has amazingly beautiful beaches and its also home to one of the World’s Heritage - Ha Long Bay! You will have the opportunity to enjoy a all day out on the boat, seeing the wonders of Ha Long Bay, swimming and relaxing.

During the daytime you will be able to do as you please: relaxing, reading, swimming… or anything else you wish.
This is also the time for you to be together with the other Active In Asia participants and to make an evaluation of the previous weeks.
The Itinerary will change accordingly to the season; in case of cold weather (October-March), the visit to Ha Long Bay will be shortened, and you will visit instead the Thanh Thuy Hot Mineral Water Mine, located in La Phu and Bao Yen communes, Thanh Thuy district. Hot mineral water contains sodium, calcium, etc, especially radon - a rare and precious kind of radon for the first time discovered in Vietnam, which is very good for health!
If you choose to join the In 2 Vietnam program for longer then four weeks, you can be placed in one of several projects we have organized in Vietnam. Some examples of these projects are: farming, orphanage stay or teaching projects. During this period, you will be placed at one of our centers or in a homestay situation.
Extention of the program by four week periods can be arranged during the first four weeks. Your program coordinator can provide you with more information about all the available projects.
Remember: Even though you may only work for a few weeks, your contribution can make a very positive impact!

First four weeks option A, teaching: € 750

Additional four week periods are charged at € 350
€ 200 is due as deposit on the moment of the booking to secure your place on the program. The rest of the amount is to due 14 days before the start of the program. You will receive an email concerning the balance payment. As soon as the deposit has been paid, you will receive an email containing more detailed information about the program and the location.
About 95% of our participants get placed in the requested program. However, it might happen that due to certain circumstances we can not place you in the quested program. In this situation, we will refund your deposit and discuss other program options.
